ABSTRACT
Owing to the disadvantage traditional bonding mortar with bad construction workability, low- adhesive strength, bad durability and cast of outer ceramic tiles, the several factors influencing on the adhesive strength and durability of bonding mortar were studied systematically, which include ratio of cement to sand, kind and dosages of polymers, kind and dosages of fibers, and mineral admictures,etc. Then, a type of bondingpowder mortar with excellent performances was developed.
Based on mono-factor experiment,by comparing the influence of different polymers on the performances of mortar, it was found that the compounding use of hydroxyethyl methylcellulose(MKX45000PE20L) and redispersible latex powder(VINNAPAS RE5010I) not only improved performances, but also decreased properly the cost of bonding mortar. By comparing the influence of different fibers on the performances of mortar, the results show that adding 0.1 % dosages of mood fiber in dry mortar can effectively increase flexural strength and anti-shrinkage of mortar. By investigating on substituting mineral admixtures for part of cement, it was presented that substituting FA- I for 30% of cement can not only decrease the cost of bonding mortar, but also increase the workability, flexural strength and durability of the bonding mortar.
According to the relative criterions, the different of the developed dry powder mortar were systematically tested, which include bonding strength, water resistance, anti-crack, open time, high temperature resistance and freezing-thawing, etc. The results show that the performances of the developed bonding mortar are excellent, and accord with the relative criterions. In the mean time,
the investigations also show that the bonding mortar can meet the demands of construction under winter weather of -20 0C temperature, and has good performance of anti-freezing.
